Data Deletion Instructions

You have the right to delete your personal data from JWLS at any time. We offer two ways to request deletion:

Option 1 — In-app (recommended)

  1. Open the JWLS app or storefront where you have an account.
  2. Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete My Data.
  3. Confirm the request with your password.
  4. Your data is queued for deletion within 30 days.

Option 2 — By email

Send an email to privacy@jwls.co from the email address linked to your account with the subject: "Delete My Data". Include the phone number and any seller name tied to the account.

We confirm receipt within 24 hours and complete deletion within 30 days. You'll receive a confirmation email when deletion is done.

What gets deleted

  • Personal profile information (name, phone, email, address)
  • Order history (after legally required retention period)
  • Live show comments and reactions
  • Connected social media tokens (Facebook, Instagram)
  • Payment method tokens (your card on file is removed; past invoices stay for tax purposes)

What we may retain

By Indian law (GST, accounting, RBI):

  • Invoice records — 7 years
  • Transaction logs — 5 years
  • Tax compliance records — 7 years

Retained records are anonymised where possible and accessible only for legal and audit purposes.

Disconnecting Facebook / Instagram only

If you only want to disconnect your social accounts (without deleting the rest of your JWLS data), go to Settings → Connected Accounts → Disconnect Facebook or Disconnect Instagram. This revokes our access tokens immediately. Your other JWLS data is unaffected.

For Meta (Facebook/Instagram) data deletion callbacks

When you remove the JWLS app from your Facebook account or request data deletion via Meta's tools, Meta sends a deletion request to our automated callback URL:

This endpoint accepts a signed JSON payload from Meta, verifies the signature, queues the deletion of all data tied to your Facebook user ID, and returns a confirmation URL within 30 days. See Meta's documentation for how this flow works on Facebook's side.
